Delete your account

Applies to the DVOIDER app (com.dvoider.app) and the web app at app.dvoider.com.

You can delete your DVOIDER account and its data at any time. Deletion is permanent — there is no recovery period and no way for us to restore an account once it is removed.

Option 1 — delete it yourself, in the app

This is immediate and needs no request or waiting.

  1. Open DVOIDER and go to Settings.
  2. Scroll to Delete Account.
  3. Type your account email address to confirm.

The account and its data are removed as soon as you confirm. You can also reach this screen directly at app.dvoider.com/delete-account while signed in.

Option 2 — request it by email

If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, email us and we will delete the account for you.

Send from: the email address registered to the account — this is how we verify ownership.

We action requests within 30 days, and in practice within a few business days. If we cannot verify that the request comes from the account holder, we will ask you for more information rather than delete the wrong account.

What is deleted

Deleting your account removes your profile and everything linked to it:

Deleted immediately Retained, and why
Profile, @handle, avatar and bio
Ideas, drafts and AI analyses
Posts, comments, likes and follows
Direct messages and group chat membership
Collaboration requests, applications and team seats
Notifications, sessions and push subscriptions
Identity-verification records
Behavioural analytics (an erasure request is sent to our analytics provider) 		Timestamped idea proofs (“seals”). A seal is a public proof that a specific idea existed at a specific time, anchored to the Bitcoin blockchain. It is unlinked from your account so it no longer identifies you, but the proof itself survives — its whole purpose is to be permanent and independently verifiable, and it may be a third party’s evidence too.

Records we are legally required to keep, such as transaction or safety-enforcement records, retained only as long as the law requires.

Encrypted backups for up to 30 days, after which they expire on their normal rotation.
Content other people hold. Messages you sent still appear in the recipient’s copy of a conversation, shown from a deleted account. We cannot remove data from another person’s account on your behalf.

Deleting only some data

You do not have to delete the whole account to remove content. In the app you can delete individual ideas, posts, comments and chats, and manage what is visible under Settings → Idea Visibility. To have a specific item removed without closing your account, email [email protected].
